Established in 1984 by Dr. Arun Vasantrao Bhagwat and Dr. Kalpana Arun Bhagwat, Vatsal Hospital began as a trusted centre for quality care in Akola and steadily evolved into a modern superspeciality institution. With early adoption of minimal access surgery in 1996 and the expansion of clinical expertise across generations, the hospital transitioned into a multispeciality unit and achieved NABH Entry-Level Accreditation in 2020.

Today, Vatsal Superspeciality Hospital is a 107-bedded facility with 30 ICU beds, six international-standard modular operation theatres, and integrated superspeciality services including Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Critical Care, Pain Medicine, Advanced Ophthalmology, Minimal Access Surgery, Cathlab and Gynaecology. Supported by advanced diagnostics and a fully digital hospital system, the hospital continues its journey toward full NABH accreditation, delivering ethical, transparent and patient-centred care to Akola and the Vidarbha region.
